A much awaited January arrival, this Las Vegas centric spine chilling novel seems to have a lot to offer, particularly for big time thriller addicts like me. This new book by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro, seems to have made good use of the self-contradicting spirits of the Sin City.
The city that bedazzles one and all with its casinos, hotels, shows and lots of other stuff related to human vices, appears to be the perfect breeding ground for blood curdling crimes too. Throw in a brigade of supremely trained Femme Fatale, specially coached by Lester Olsen, a man with a shady past. Olsen’s skill lies in the fact that he can charm gorgeous women with fine wine and dine and then train them how to kill !
But wait…looks like Olsen is going to have a formidable competitor in Private Jack Morgan destined to land up in Vegas in his pursuit of a couple of other criminals. As he stumbles upon this whole army of murderous seductresses, something he’s never come across earlier in his investigative career, he needs to put his best foot forward and get ready to face an unusually brilliant opponent this time.
The story line looks gripping, the Vegas backdrop stunning and the timing just perfect ! Thrillers always seem to have a special appeal during the colder seasons (don’t they ?) and that too by James Patterson; this is a book worth giving a shot at !
Ultimately, a great thriller is a roller coaster ride. I like to think that’s a promise I have never failed to keep, and one that I’d say has served my books well…James Patterson.
