As we started planning our vacation for the upcoming Christmas break, it felt good to revisit a few vignettes of some of our past vacations. In the past couple of years we’ve visited a number of places in and out of California and have even traveled internationally, but some of these trips have been more memorable than the others and demanded some documentation:
1. Grand Canyon:
We Visited the South Rim in 2013 and also stopped by Sedona during the trip. It rained intermittently throughout the trip and we got to experience the beauty of the Canyon before, during and after the showers. It was amazing !
Apart from the breathtaking beauty of the Russian Gulch State Park, the Russian River Valley and the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens, this trip is memorable to us for being our first road trip with Enzo (he was even less than a year old then).
3. Aptos, California:
Cradled in the heart of the Santa Cruz Mountains, Aptos offers the perfect beach side vacation around the year. The views of sunrise and sunset are fascinating ! Also, Santa Cruz being very close by, tourists don’t have to worry about “things to do” here.
4. Lake Tahoe:
We visited South Lake Tahoe in the Summer of 2014. This trip was worth remembering because of the heavy snow showers that turned this whole place into a magical winter land right in the middle of May. This was Enzo’s first snow ! Hopefully it was a memorable trip for him too !
5. San Diego:
We visited San Diego last December and absolutely loved the sunny warmth and the gorgeous beaches and the scenic drives. The pollution and heavy Holiday traffic were not so pleasant, nevertheless it was overall a nice trip.
